Lula Hyers is New York Photographer and Director whose work uses color, light and observation to create and preserve moments. Her images are made possible through the capturing of an essence and the exchange from bearing witness to her subjects in both curated and natural environments. In her directing work, Lula uses the experience she has cultivated working as a photographer to understand what is needed to capture her subjects through moving image. In her film work, you can see what she’s most inspired by: people, low light, silhouettes and how colors tell a story. She is an observer of others and aims to show what she is able to find when doing so behind the camera.
